How to Join a Fortnite Custom Matchmaking Lobby

Play in Fortnite Private Matches, Tournaments, and Other Custom Games like Battle Royale and Team Rumble live on Twitch with Fortnite Creator, MELOGRAPHICS. Continue reading to get all the settings and info to jump in queue.
To join a custom match with MELOGRAPHICS or other creators and streamers hosting an open lobby you'll need the Custom Matchmaking Regions, Custom Matchmaking Key, and Game Mode. Depending on the Game Mode, you will also be able to choose Fill (vacant spots on your team will be filled by other players in the queue looking for teammates) or Not Fill (vacant spots on your team will not be filled). If you are playing Battle Royale Duos, Trios, or Squads, and have a teammate in mind make sure you add them to your party before you ready up in the custom lobby. Joining a Private Match in Fortnite
Join a Fortnite custom lobby or private match hosted by a creator or streamer by following these steps and settings. The host of the lobby (e.g. MELOGRAPHICS in this instructional guide) will provide you with the matchmaking region and lobby code/custom key to enter when your ready to join from PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, or Playstation.

CUSTOM MATCHMAKING REGION
CUSTOM MATCHMAKING REGION: NA-WEST
To Join Melo's private lobby during special Twitch live streams, #MeloMonday, or private Fortnite Battle Royale Tournaments you must be in the same matchmaking region. MELOGRAPHICS uses NA-West (unless otherwise stated):
SETTINGS> GAME> MATCHMAKING REGION> Select NA-West
You’ll receive an error message if you’re in the wrong server region, and you won’t be able to join a game. After playing in the custom match(es), you can change your custom matchmaking region back to auto or whichever setting you were using previously.

What is a Fortnite Custom Key?
MELOGRAPHICS, a mod, or the lobby host will provide the Custom Matchmaking Key to connect to the private match.
Do not share the Custom Matchmaking Key with anyone (e.g. DO NOT share via social, read aloud on stream, or show on your screen). While MELOGRAPHICS is in the Lobby waiting for players the Custom Key will be either posted in the MELO SPACE Discord, or provided during the MELOGRAPHICS1 Twitch Stream chat/screen.
ENTER THE CUSTOM KEY:
Select Custom Key from the bottom right of the GAME MODE MENU.
Enter the Custom Matchmaking Key exactly as provided (case-sensitive).
Hit ACCEPT
IMPORTANT: After the custom match(es), before returning to regular public matching or creative delete/clear the custom key. Otherwise, you will not be able to play any public online games.

Visit the Game Mode Menu and select the game mode that Melo is hosting (e.g. Battle Royale (Solos, Duos, Trios, Squads) or Team Rumble.

Joining a Private Match with a Party
If you have a party you want to join Melo's custom lobby with, all party members must use Melo's Custom Lobby Settings (Region, Custom Key, and Game Mode) and be ready in your party before you hit PLAY
No friends? No Problem! Pick the "Fill" option under PLAY to meet someone new who's also looking for a friend in the queue.
Fill vs. Don't Fill in Matchmaking
Fill: If you're playing in Duos, Trios, or Squads and want to have random people also in queue join your team; choose FILL.
Don't Fill: If you do not want anyone else to join your team choose Don't FILL.
Additional Settings
Voice Chat: DISABLED
SETTINGS > AUDIO > VOICE CHAT
Nobody: If you are using Discord or another app, turn off voice chat and mic in game to prevent echo.
Voice Chat: MUTE ALL
Settings > Audio > Creator Options
Mute All: All sources containing licensed audio will be muted if you or anyone plays them
READY UP
READY? PRESS PLAY
Now that you have the required settings all set to join a custom game with MELOGRAPHICS, press PLAY!
You should see the same number of "players in queue" as shown on MELOGRAPHICS stream / lobby screen. If you do not see the same number or get an error make sure your have the correct matchmaking region, game mode, and lobby key as the host.
